Food Technology Laboratory

The Food Technology Laboratory provides professional equipment for simulating food production processes, including industrial ovens, UHT sterilizers, spray dryers, and a 3D food printer. The facility also contains a specialized Sensory Evaluation Room designed for precise quality testing in a controlled, distraction-free environment, ensuring accurate sensory analysis.

Pet Care Studio

The Pet Care Studio provides hands-on training in a simulated clinic environment, complete with grooming salon and retail displays. Equipped with professional facilities including mobile animal lift tables, pet waiting rooms, an underwater treadmill, bathing station, and grooming tables, students gain practical experience to prepare for careers in pet care and wellness.

Dispensing Training and Pharmaceutical Care Resource Centre

The center enables students to learn pharmacy equipment and dispensing process for Western and Chinese medicines. It stocks various medicines and features computer systems for dispensing and labeling in simulated dispensary. The "Smart Electronic Medicine Cabinet" automatically selects medications based on prescriptions, enhancing accuracy and efficiency. 

Cybersecurity Centre

The Cybersecurity Centre is equipped with integrated and cutting-edge cybersecurity training facilities to support different types of activities. Cyber Range is one of the major platforms that simulates the operation of an enterprise security operations centre. The Centre consists of a cyber simulation platform that provides scenarios of real-world cyber-attack, and defence and security incident response for training. Through showcasing network and system security, participants can gain a deeper understanding of cybersecurity.

Biotechnology Laboratory

The Biotechnology Laboratory is equipped with a wide array of experimental tools, including UV spectrophotometers, high-speed centrifuges, gel imaging systems, ultra-low temperature freezers, PCR machines, qPCR machine, NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) equipment, cryostat and blood analysis systems. Additionally, the laboratory provides dedicated spaces such as a cell culture room and a project room, enabling students to utilize professional-grade equipment for in-depth biotechnology studies.

Hospitality Hong Kong Centre

Hospitality Hong Kong Centre is equipped with professional equipment. Students can develop essential soft and hard skills for their future careers in hotel, tourism, leisure and sports industries.  There are different purposes areas / rooms:  Smart Fitness Station, Fencing Training and Competition Venue, Coffee and Wine Corner, Sports Assessment Room and Multi-Function Rooms.

We hosted an exciting Fun Day to introduce our campus and Vocational & Professional Education & Training (VPET) in a lively atmosphere. The event featured diverse activities, creating engaging experiences for students and community members alike.

Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Tertiary Institution Innovation Project Invitational Competition

The competition organised by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers invited engineering students from higher education institutions in Hong Kong and the Mainland to form teams. Using self-designed and modified remote-control cars and robotic arms, teams competed in designated tasks on a field to win awards. The competition tests participants' engineering knowledge and skills, encouraging them to showcase their creativity and teamwork. After nearly four hours of competition, teams from IVE (Haking Wong) and IVE (Tsing Yi) emerged as the second runner-up of the Most Eco-Friendly Remote Control Car Design Award.
